This is the best I could find on that.  I hope it helps.

So the cause would be this ??

0xC0000185, or STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR, indicates improper termination or defective cabling on SCSI devices or that two devices are trying to use the same IRQ.

That could be a issue IF you had a SCSI device.  But you don't.  So I highly doubt it.

My best guess would be that you either have a poor connection on a data cable or memory module, a failing hdd or a failing main board.

Data cables can be replaced easy enough and memory module contacts can be cleaned with a simple pencil eraser.  You can also try disconnecting suspect hdd's just to see if the problem persists.

The memory has already been individually cleaned with an eraser by Dave when he put it back in and he made sure it is reseated. I am leaning toward the Motherboard being the problem due to all the issues up to date and already 2 damaged capacitors.

Dave doesn't want me to get this but I am thinking of getting it anyway and sending it to your address to send to me since it is USA only.

Since Dave goes by Benchmarks a LOT I did a Passmark Benchmark on my current system:

(At least Passmark does detect my video card properly: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7770)

and tried to find that one I want to get:

axiom asus graphic r7 w amd core quad 3.0ghz a10-7870k apu

Having a hard time finding it .. but is THIS it?

Where I disagree with Dave and his relying on benchmarks posted up by enthusiast tweeker's, to base my decision on my next purchase.  I can somewhat agree that they can give you an idea of the hardware in question's, full potential.  Now where I can agree with Dave on, is that a APU will not have as much performance as a dedicated CPU.  It's not a true gaming class processor.  But the bottom line here is, your looking for more performance than what you had and your on a tight budget.  Comparing head to head clock speeds, the AMD A-10 APU is at least 4 times faster then any Intel core2 quad.  And as an added slap in the face, the A-10 APU is also a radeon R7 graphic's processor.  Plus the AMD A-10 is a 1/3rd the price of any near equal in speed Intel processor.  So big bang, small buck.  What is there NOT to like about that?

But as I said to you earlier, if Dave doesn't like that but feels he can do better and can still keep to a tight budget, then by all means, lets see what he's got.

Okay can't wait to see his reply because you explained really well. Also regardin the blue screen I had last I went to the blue screen experts and they said this:

Hello kabo0m.

Hum this might be a problem, on HP's support site there isn't an option for selecting Windows 7 so drivers might become an issue especially when the required driver is for the SATA controller.

You could also try and use HP's identify drivers tools and see if it would pick up anything needed:

Automatically Find HP Updates

Cheers, Boris
:)

but .. I believe Dave got all the drivers from the official site. What does he mean?

no doubt if she's going new parts it would have to be Amd based. but the AM3+ platform offers higher performance  potential for future upgrades than the fm2+.
this list is my suggestion for the am3+ platform
cpu
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286
mem
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211857
mb
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132513

and a quick cpu compare
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=2531&cmp[]=1781

Also windows tends to refer to sata drives as SCSI in error codes could be the sata cable that you had for one of the hd's that didn't have a 90 degree connector on it. In the new case it could be bending the cable too much.
Link from Boris is to the tool for finding drivers for your mb for hp mb's. tried it, the only mb drivers for that board were provided by windows. mb was sold with vista not 7. tried the tool he suggested.

KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7a)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in.  Typically caused by
a bad block in the paging file or disk controller error. Also see
KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.
If the error status is 0xC000000E, 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.

If the error status is 0xC000009A, then it means the request failed because
a filesystem failed to make forward progress.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffff6fc40008690, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: ffffffffc0000185, error status (normally i/o status code)
Arg3: 0000000108289860, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: fffff880010d293c, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)

Also Dave because the CPU comparisons contain [ ] in the url I had to use a convertor and edit your post for you. This is the convertor I use for instances like this:

no doubt if she's going new parts it would have to be Amd based. but the AM3+ platform offers higher performance  potential for future upgrades than the fm2+.

Isn't that only because of the clockspeed Dave? What about that I would be getting 16Gb of compatible RAM with it over what I am using currently which is only 4Gb of ram becaues my 8Gb isn't playing  nice with my motherboard?? AND that I could crossfire the onboard video card with the video card that Bryan gave me?

Oh I see .. you didn't compare against my CURRENT computer but against the one I wanted against the one you think I should get instead locally.  BOTH rate higher than what I currently have. The bottom line for me is STABILITY and OVERALL COST.

I found a cable with a "90" connector on it. if it's just the cable, it's a fairly quick fix.

the fx6300 is a six core cpu (a10 is a quad), the base clock speed is abit lower actually(turbo speed is the same though.) I don't see there being much benefit in crossfiring with a slower built in video but I might be wrong. Plus the apu he mentioned was about the highest end that platform could take. am3+ platform can take much faster chips than the fx6300. The board I suggested has 4 ram slots not 2 so you could buy 2 4gig sticks now to save money and still ad more later when you could afford more. Or you could get 16 now if you wanted. I just listed an 8 gig kit cause you could to save money. you have more options with more slots.

Okay, so a 6 core CPU would be faster than a quad core at multitasking and the AM3 platform can step up to better processor's in the near future.  Good selling points.  Now with my suggestion,  the APU would be a perfect match for the 7700 / R7 series card she has now.  Yet can crossfire with any Radeon card she could plug in to that board.  Now, the A-10 may not exactly be a "gaming class" processor, but it's no slouch either.  It's plenty fast for her current needs.

Now, with that being said, my solution is nearly just as fast and comes with 12 gigs more high speed ram then Dave's solution.  And it's around $60 cheaper too.  I've done my homework on this and this is the biggest bang for the cheapest buck.

do you mean 8 gigs more ram? and it's that much cheaper till you factor in the exchange rate.

cheapest way would just be replace her mb with a skt 775 that can take her cpu. ( I'll see what I can find).
