Wait, your TV is spying on you?? If it has Bixby or any other interactive interface using a mic and camera, it is.

You’ll see:
  • How Smart TVs actually track you — through ACR, voice assistants, and targeted ads
  • Why your TV is cheaper than ever (hint: you’re the product)
  • The FTC fines, lawsuits, and scandals manufacturers hope you forgot
  • How to disable spying features and reclaim your privacy

Because the only thing “smart” about these TVs… is how they monetize you.

Why the people who don't use Windows don't use Windows, including hackers.

I found this Zorin OS review interesting.  The more interesting part is it can run as a live OS.  So, you can take it for a test drive before you commit to anything.

I have heard great things about Zorin OS actually and am considering it

Geek / Games Discussion / Re: Windows 11 - Do we want it or can we even handle it?

I have noticed a slow down in Edge but so far that is all I noticed.

Your system slowdown could be caused by a lack of system ram or an ever-bloating windows registry file.  I know that you recently updated your ram.  And I was glad to hear that giving the fact that I know that you don't usually reboot your system.  But even 16gb is minimum recommended now.

I had a feeling that updates were now a backdoor preparation for Win 11.

Umm, don't start slamming win11 on this just yet, it's been happening to me several months before win10 eol.  It seems a previous win10 patch re-enabled a feature in windows update to download and install what MS thinks is important for your system.  This would include updated drivers for some hardware you currently have.  Just remember to go into windows update > advanced settings and turn that feature off if you don't want it.

In my case, I have things like my sound card and video card software packages setup to notify me of an update and download it if it can.  It's just that windows update was trying to do the same when I thought I had turned it off long ago.
