Sorry to hear that KT.

I to had a very aggravating ordeal of my own.  My car got towed away for parking in front of a used car lot.

Any damage to the car KT?

I talked to her a couple of days ago.  She told me there was no damage to the vehicle.  Just a stolen air compressor and damage to her pride.  And she's regretting the decision of getting one of the most sought-after cars in the world for its reliably.  Because the Honda C-RV brand is also a high theft target in her area for that same reason.  I really feel bad for her because I talked her into it.  She desperately needed a reliable, fuel-efficient, solid built car.   And what she ended up with, she couldn't have asked for much better.  But crime doesn't care about any of that.

It was more than Pride as this was my Uncle/Godfather's SUV and upset me more than any previous car breaking because of that. Also they stole his Oakley Sunglasses too and the manuals.

I wish I had a vehicle where they can't get into the back .. every car previously they could not get into the trunk but this CR-V .. once they open the doors they can get into the back hatch too easily.

Forgive me.  That slipped my mind.  But you did focus on the compressor a bit.

People tend to call vehicles like your CR-V and my Pilot as SUV's because it sounds cooler that what they really are.  Just a modern-day station wagon.  Anyway, almost every vehicle on the road today does come with a lockable glove box.  You can secure some small items in there.  But you can find larger secured locked boxes for these vehicles.  Unfortunately, they usually cost a lot of money.

That is because I did not realize they stole the oakleys at first until it was a sunny day and I went to put them on. They were in a hidden compartment. This made me realize that the thief probably targetted CRV's as he knows they have hidden compartments that people trust their items will be safe in. But probably they should have locks on them like some glove boxes do... in some vehicles.

Ya definitely a modern-day station wagon / van :P Also CRV's do not have locks on their glove boxes which is odd. None of the hidden compartments have locks... :(

Figures that is why they are targeted for random theft.

Ya someone needs to tell these car manufacturers how to make their vehicles more secure 🔐

And every time they do, someone figures out a way around the new security measures.  Case in point, look at keyless entry and ignition systems.

Ya those are even EASIER to break into .. They need to involve a white hat hacker in the designing factor :P
