Help my computer again randomly yesterday shut down without notice .. just .. loss of power and poof. Not loss of power in my apartment .. just the computer. I was in a game and then I heard the fans stop and the computer rebooted as if the power had gone out.

What steps should I try so I can list them here as I do them?
Steps so far taken:
- Ran Speccy for info
- Ran Everest
- Going to run Mem-Test 86 over night
- Going to run a full Antivirus scan (even though it is done daily)
- Going to Defrag (even though I did 2 weeks ago?)
- Temp recordings (attached image) while playing game (as it seems that is when I lose power)
-
It's difficult to tell what's causing that issue. But here is a list of a few things that could cause it.
Overheated GPU
Overheated CPU
Defective Memory
Defective or insufficient PSU
Bad connection/s

Okay I will test the memory tonight (or Sat night while I am at my mom's and not on the computer anyway) then tell you the results.
Then I can do the paperclip test I read about but have never done. http://dodji.seketeli.com/downloads/shuttle-psu-paper-clip-test.pdf

As for testing the rest, I am not sure how to. Looking at the INtel site I only found a processor diagnostic tool: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19792&lang=eng&ProdId=2774 (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=19792&lang=eng&ProdId=2774)
I was looking for a manual ... http://ark.intel.com/products/spec/SLAWQ (http://ark.intel.com/products/33924/Intel-Core2-Quad-Processor-Q9550-12M-Cache-2_83-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB)
and found it at the bottom of that page. http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/core2-qx9000-q9000-q8000-datasheet.pdf

There are a couple of things I would like to know.
#1. Does your mother board have a speaker? You can tell if it does when you start the computer and it posts, you will hear a beep.
#2. Did your computer make any kind of sound at the moment it shut down? And did it have any trouble restarting?

I will have to reboot again and see if there is a beep but I don't think there is. My last Mobo there was I believe. Will have to check.
As for any sound .. NOPE not at all. Only thing I noticed was the fans stop and computer off ... No trouble restarting it.
Also for Memtest I will have to go into the Bios to tell it to boot from the CD Rom is seems .. due to the way Dave set it up..
