The very end is funny.
The AI voices and the lack of loot and zombies and the dead feel of the game ... man it feels like an empty shell of a game prettied up by other's work (assets) and none of their own work. And on top of that the PVP has everyone killing each other and they are more of a danger than the zombies and you lose everything and then have no more money after awhile for guns and ammo and there is no melee and very little loot and .. ya .. this has to be the worst pretty game in existence.

Turns out they did not mean to make a scammy game but what happened behind the scenes was greed, bad decisions, putting work and many changes (many which didn't even make it into the release game) into things that did not matter as much as the core of the game itself, and thinking things would continue to go up and abusing their team for their own gain. Did not go as planned and then ... time was running out.
Fntastic renamed themselves as Eight Points deceptively so beware if you see any games by them.

I am now looking at what games are available for Free on Steam (after looking at the Epic Free games at Dave's suggestion) and Steam really doesn't put games on for free but just on sale.

Oh I did not know that. I thought it was just a story type game like you like but had no idea it was from a female protagonist or that the whole game was just looking for dates.

OW2 recently got released to steam. There is a method of transferring your existing OW2 account over to steam so you could play it on either platform now.

I had no idea as it just said this in the description:

The game itself is free to play now. If you update on Battlenet first, you get to keep everything you had earned in OW1. Then install to steam and find the directions to copy your account there. The friends list and blizzard store work differently on steam. I haven't bothered trying to figure out how to make them work.
And you love horror and story-type games. I had absolutely NO idea of the dating part at all.

Watch the tram car please. ;D I do like trains. But Heat Death was not quite what I was expecting. You actually have to build your train with limited resources before you can even head out. And upgrade it as you go. But beware of the storms. They can be deadly. They seem to popup every 7 minutes and last just as long. You have to seek shelter or stay in your train. You have to get out and explore a lot and there are lots of things to do and explore. I finished the demo already and am interested enough to play more.

I honestly can't see the appeal toward games like these. I guess I am too old? But I have a lot of memories playing the crap out of the original Atari 2600 back when that was fresh and new. And these kinds of games remind me of that.

Lately I haven't had time to get into any new games or even play old ones. 2 more people around me have cancer and my mom is going to be in London over night at the hospital this Friday as they do think she has cancer and are on a mission to try to find it.
