A member of the IA (insomniacs-anonymous) Guild (ya not clan) mentioned this today and I thought this would interest Sandman:

Well, squalzell is correct and the latest dbz movie was just last year called "battle of gods" and there is a new movie coming out some time this year where frieza returns.

Every critic out there gave dragonball evolution a rather poor rating.  And let's not go where the true DBZ fan boys went with that.  :-X

But hey, there is some pretty entertaining fan made material out there.  Like this Dragonball Absalon series.  It's suppose to take place after dragonball GT.

Or this one DragonBall Z - Episode of Bardock.  This is suppose to place how Frieza had learned of the legend of the "super saiyan".

Hello ok, I don't understand DBZ. I use to watch this when I was a kid and when I watched it it was a little boy with a tail and a couple of others going around looking for ballz with a star on them WTH is this now lol. I see the movie and I liked it even tho alots said it blowed. so yea some one fill me in

Well, I'm not sure how much of the dragonball saga you have actually seen.  But it was broken into 3 series and several movies.  Dragonball was when the star Goku was just a small boy that went on many adventures.  Dragonball Z series, Goku is then an adult with a child of his own.  Much more entertaining, even for the adults.  Dragonball GT series came after that and IMO, the first half seem to be targeted towards kids again.  It doesn't get interesting until super saiyan 4 gets introduced.   But if you want to watch, here is a great link.  http://www.dbz.tv/


But anyway, this thread started by mentioning 2 new recent movies added to the dragonball Z series.  The first of which that is out now, Dragonball Z - Battle of the Gods.  The 2nd, Dragonball Z - Battle of the Gods 2 has not yet been released in the US.  But you should be able to find something on it on YouTube.

Goku had a tail throughout a good part of the dragonball series.  It was cut off and grew back a couple of times.  In dragonball Z series, Goku didn't have a tail at all but his first son Gohan did.  His too was cut off and grew back a couple of times.  Goku's 2nd son Goten never had a tail.  Neither did Vegeta's son Trunks.  But during the early part of the Z series, Vegeta, Nappa and Goku's brother Radditz had tails.   In dragonball GT, Goku and Vegeta grew their tails back again in order to ascend to super saiyan 4.
