Yeah.  Refurbished products have always been questionable at best.  It's a misleading title that's heavily abused.

 Some are probably even reputable. but I don't think it is really regulated. Any business that isn't closely regulated, there's always people who will take advantage of that.

Yeah, quite true in fact.  This also falls in the same category as "certified pre-owned" cars.  Just call it what it is, used.  But we won't mention the most likely abused part.  lol

 That's why I stick to local ads. Better to check the parts out in person. Nothing to stop a scammer from lying to you over the internet.
