well it ended at "battle of the gods" where goku reaches Super Saiyan God and goes against the god Beerus, and in april 15th they releasing Battle of Gods 2 where Freeza comes back and becomes Golden Frieza
Well, squalzell is correct and the latest dbz movie was just last year called "super saiyan god" and there is a new movie coming out some time this year where frieza returns.

Speaking of Dragon Ball Z, anyone play Dragon Ball Xenoverse (http://store.steampowered.com/app/323470/)? I just picked it up on sale the other day and have been having a blast with it.
For any dragon ball fans, I found this, what I believe to be a fan made series, called Dragon Ball Super (http://gogoanime.io/dragon-ball-super-episode-1). It's really quite good. It's Japanese but has English sub titles so you can follow along.
It seems to follow along with the 2 recent movies. Then takes it farther. It was written somewhat differently then the movies but still held to the story. Even tries to explain how Vegeta managed to acquire the god form.
Why do you think it is fan made?
Okay, so after some research, I found that DBS is in fact written by the original DBZ author Akira Toriyama. And is being produced by Toei Animation. So it is the real deal. Cool.

KT its not fan made, it is the official continuation of the Bragon Ball Saga. Dragon Ball super. 2 movies. and a series. where Goku and Vegeta become Gods. and currently are fighting in tournament between Universe 6 and 7. It's a matter of personal taste honestly. I am a dragon ball Z fanboy. So naturally, a game like this has interest to me.
This DBZ game, like many others, allows the player to relive the story of the series. Mainly all the battles that the Z fighters had so much trouble fighting. But you (being the player) get to be the hero and save the day this time. You progress in strength and battle skill just like they did with your custom made character. Or you can fight as any one of the original Z fighters, once you unlock them of course. This is a MMO style game so once you progress enough to unlock multiplayer mode, you can play with friends or test your skills against other players.
I do like myself some custom character creation..

It is unknown at this point. Akira Toriyama was the lead in DBS, but had a team of talent doing the bulk of the work. So, who knows if we will ever see any more official content again. I certainly hope we do. The man and legend maybe gone. But his work lives on in the hearts and creative minds of his fans.

Well, DBS has already started to change the feel of the experience. In DB and DBZ, Goku just wanted to train to get stronger and had many crazy adventures along the way. Always the hero and didn't boast much about his power. DBGT mostly sucked. The only thing cool about GT was SSJ4. But in DBS, Goku constantly wanted to test his might against incredibly strong opponents. Practically picking fights with almost anyone that could give him a fight. Where yes, the highlights are the dramatic fights. I won't argue with that. But anyone that has watched the entire series all the way through, will notice the change in Goku's overall personality.
